Information and Requirements Related to the Purchase of Chemicals

Intended Use

All products offered are designed solely for laboratory work, analytical procedures, and research activities. References to specifications used in pharmaceutical or food industries apply only to purity parameters and do not imply suitability for those applications or manufacturing methods.

Any guidance we provide — written, verbal, or experimental — does not release the customer from verifying the product’s suitability for their specific workflow. Our recommendations are not guarantees. If a customer intends to use a substance in a manner that contradicts our safety advice or regulatory obligations, we reserve the right to withdraw from the contract. Responsibility for all applications lies fully with the purchaser.

Hazardous Properties

Some chemicals we sell may possess hazardous characteristics and are labeled according to applicable regulations. The absence of hazard statements does not automatically indicate that a substance is harmless; toxicological and environmental data may be incomplete.

All chemicals and their contaminated containers must therefore be handled as potentially hazardous. Prevent any uncontrolled release into the environment. In case of accidental release — especially in significant amounts — inform local authorities immediately.

Storage

All chemicals must be stored in compliance with the relevant legal requirements. Extra caution is required in home laboratories. Keep substances out of reach of children.

Temperature-sensitive materials requiring refrigeration must not be stored next to food. If no dedicated laboratory refrigerator is available, store them in secure, closed containers (e.g., a lockable box or safe).

Disposal

Chemical waste and contaminated containers must be disposed of according to local, regional, national, or international regulations. Do not mix waste streams, as dangerous reactions may occur. Waste must be correctly labeled and collected in appropriate containers to ensure separate processing by waste management facilities.

Never dispose of chemicals via drains, sewage systems, or household waste. Product-specific disposal guidance is provided in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

Export Regulations

Certain chemical products may be subject to export restrictions. Before transferring goods to third parties, the customer must ensure that all relevant national and international export control laws — including EU regulations and embargo rules — are respected.

It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that no sanctions or circumvention prohibitions are violated.
