How to Prepare a Working Solution

  1. Use a small glass container.

  2. Add the required amount of IBA powder and a small volume of alcohol. Stir thoroughly.

  3. If undissolved powder remains, add a bit more alcohol and mix until the solution becomes completely clear.

  4. To prepare the working solution, dilute the desired volume of this stock solution in water and mix well.

Don’t worry about the alcohol harming plants — the final concentration is extremely low and even beneficial, as it can act as a mild fungicide.

Stock solution ratio: Dissolve 1 gram of IBA in 10–50 mL of alcohol.

Storage and Stability

  • Store the powder in a cool, dark place.

  • The working solution loses its activity quickly and should be used within 24 hours.

  • Any remaining stock solution can be stored at +3 °C to +8 °C for 2–3 weeks.

It is recommended to purchase IBA as a powder and prepare the working solution freshly before use.
